VENOM-X SLALOM RACE

The new 2025 VENOM-X celebrates the 10th season of S2Maui’s iconic flagship
race sail and also symbolizes its evolution to the new PWA Slalom-X discipline. The
2025 VENOM-X is built upon Artur Szpunar and Barry Spanier’s legacy of design
experience and optimized for winning performance in modern PWA Slalom-X and
IFCA Fin Slalom disciplines. Designed with massive horsepower for instantaneous
acceleration and limitless top speed, the 2025 VENOM-X accelerates out of the jibes
and blazes down the straights, helping you find the quickest way to the finish line.
The VENOM-X is also a lethal weapon for speed and with that in mind, we have
added a 4.7 size, which rigs on a 370 RDM, for those record setting days.
S2Maui is 100% dedicated to provide the ultimate performance race sails that allow
riders to achieve their goals. With 2 historical PWA Slalom World championships
to its credit as well as IFCA World Championship titles, it’s inspiring to see our
new generation of S2Maui VENOM riders growing into similar success. In 2024,
S2Maui VENOM rider Justine Lemeteyer achieved Vice-World Champion titles in
both PWA Slalom-X as well as IFCA Slalom-Fin. Talented young S2Maui VENOM
rider Lohan Jules achieved an incredible win at the ’23 Defi Wind (Windsurfing fin)
and followed with a career first top 10 finish in Slalom-X at the 2024 PWA Fuerte.
We also want to recognize the success of our great team of national riders around the
world who have claimed multiple championships in Japan, France, Holland, Greece
and the USA. S2Maui’s relentless Race Sail development never stops and benefits

our champion-filled World Cup and test team including Micah Buzianis, Justine
Lemeteyer, Lohan Jules and Mark Boersma. The 2025 S2Maui VENOM-X is pure,

2025 VENOM-X DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE FEATURES
• TURBO LEECH TWIST PROFILE: The 2025 VENOM-X has a newly updated leech twist profile which starts further down, allowing for smoother, more
progressive opening in the mid leech while maintaining correct tension in the head. This improved mid-leech twist acts like a turbo, channeling the airflow
across the sail, increasing acceleration and also top speed.
• INCREASED HORSEPOWER AND ACCELERATION: Slalom-X requires strong acceleration out of jibes and also after navigating obstacles. As a result
of the Turbo leech and updated profile, the 2025 VENOM-X produces more power and gives mind-blowing acceleration.
• LIGHTER AND MORE RESPONSIVE: The 2025 VENOM-X increases the use of our exclusive superlight and strong Technora™ Spacelight™ in the
leech, reducing weight and promoting faster and smoother leech response in gusty conditions. “Light-Film” is used in the upper sail body, further reducing
weight and maintaining a “direct feel”. This combination of materials give the VENOM-X the light and responsive feel helpful for maneuvering at jibe marks,
chicanes and navigating Slalom-X obstacles.
• MAXIMUM VELOCITY: The 2025 VENOM-X, with its slippery 3-D shape, refined leading edge, turbo leech twist and pronounced leeward pre-bend
geometries is our fastest ever and has what it takes to dominate in the straights!.
• CONTROL, BALANCE AND STABILITY: The VENOM-X’s exceptional balance and stability together with incredibly smooth responsive leech twist and
power delivery give the rider full control and the confidence necessary to push the limits even in extreme conditions.
2025 QUALITY CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
• Superlight and strong construction using advanced superlight, low stretch Technora™ Spacelight™ in the leech and multiple thicknesses of film.
• Multiple, full length vertical luff panels lock in shaping and resist stretch from downhaul loads.
• 2x Premium quality INOX clew eyelets with leech abrasion reinforcement
• Removeable, light weight “VIPER CLIP” clew pulley
• “Light Tip” upper battens with custom fittings designed. Reduces sail weight further in most important areas and quickens leech response.
• Varying Flex Carbon/composite tubes carefully suited to each batten position.
• Improved taper and increased strength Epoxy batten tips
• S2Maui’s original wide footprint multi-roller cams together with modified batten tip tapers ensure easy and complete rotation.
• Extra-strong mast sleeve top webbing, abrasion-protector and internal reinforcements
• Abrasion protection of lower two battens in rigging and boom wear areas.
• Extended sleeve bottom protection.
• Reinforced leading edge at camber contact points.
