WHAT'S NEW

NEW SIZES. NEW WEAPONS.

• 6.5 – A redefined 6.8 with a shorter boom, higher-aspect outline, and 430 RDM mast. Packs the punch of a 6.8 but flies as smooth and light as a 5.9.

• 7.3 – Think 7.8, but stripped down. Shorter boom, higher-aspect outline, and 460 SDM mast. Planes like a beast yet feels lighter under your hands.

• 8.2 (460 mast) – A stretched 7.8 with a longer boom. Delivers raw extra power without the brutality of a 490 mast. Perfect for medium boards.

• 8.2 (490 mast) – A compressed 8.8 with a shorter boom. Lighter in feel, but still loaded with the same relentless drive and power.

• Refined sleeve design – From 7.8 down to 4.9, all sizes now feature a narrower mast sleeve, tuned per size. The widest point sits above the boom, freeing the rig from excess board pressure and unleashing effortless flight over chop.

ON WATER

Leaving the beach, the AC-1 LTD will feel light in your hands—like a high-performance machine ready to unleash. Crank up the throttle and shift into 6th gear—now you’re ready to fly.
Why? Downforce! Softness and stability! The AC-1 LTD pushes the deck down, eradicating any unwanted nose-lift from lively boards. It charges through, or rather over chop and swell.
This sail is insanely powerful but surprisingly easy to control. All the power is up front, leaving your back hand with zero effort to apply. It’s mega turbo powerful—the acceleration is insane.
But the force keeps the hull pinned down, leaving you in a high position of control over that thumping V12 of power at your fingertips.
When it comes to jibing, the entry is smooth thanks to its light profile at the rear, but brace yourself for that boosted acceleration as you flip the sail. With the 3-cam setup, the rotation is light and smooth, ensuring you’re always ready to keep the speed.

ITS CHARACTER

Seven battens that are made to dominate. But Point-7 didn’t stop there—they pushed the envelope even further with a 3-cam setup to take you straight into the next level of power and speed.

RIG SETTING

The AC-1 LTD demands precision in its rigging. Start by inserting the mast on top of the cams. After pulling the downhaul to 15cm of the final setting, you have two options: either pop the cams on first, then adjust the downhaul and place the boom, or apply full downhaul first, pop the cams in, and finish by putting on the boom. You’ll find detailed instructions and videos in the support section on our website for more guidance.

Adjust the outhaul to either boost power or dial in more control. Tighten the lower two battens and the top batten, but for the rest, just remove wrinkles without overtightening.

Once you flip the sail, the 3-cam system delivers an effortlessly smooth and light rotation—perfect for quick transitions without losing that explosive power.

 ORIGIN

The fastest sail in slalom racing, the AC-1 is named after Andrea Cucchi, combining his initials and sail number. As the founder of Point-7, head of development, and team manager, Cucchi had a vision to create a group of young professionals who could push boundaries together under the banner of the “BLACK TEAM.”

With a legacy of excellence, the AC-1 represents the power behind a team that’s dominated the sport. A symbol of relentless speed, power, and performance.

All our Ply, X-ply and Scrim monofilm are produced in the Unites States including the new 7548 Yellow. The less the transparent the monofilm, the more they will last in the sun. Just like our Black, our new Yellow monofilm, is also not transparent, and darker the colour the longer it will shield the material from the UV rays.

What damages the monofilm is not the heat, but the UV-Rays. These go through the monofilm, cooking the material, with the result that it will become stiffer and brittle. Our monofilm is built in layers with inside the coloured anti UV glue, which blocks completely the UV rays, compared to transparent monofilm.

All our Ply, X-ply and Scrim monofilm are produced in the Unites States including the new 7548 Yellow. The less the transparent the monofilm, the more they will last in the sun. Just like our Black, all our new monofilms, are also not transparent, and darker the colour the longer it will shield the material from the UV rays.
