Design & rider expertise
Paragliding precision meets foiling performance
Patrick Aggeler, product and wing designer at ENSIS, brings a wealth of knowledge from his background in paragliding design to his passion for foiling. When development began, Patrick was excited by the idea of creating a parawing, seeing it as the perfect cross of his two fields, bringing valuable elements to the design of the ROGER like performance, handling, and safety. The result is a parawing that delivers on every front, meeting every demand on the water.
Intuitive design, effortless handling
Every detail of the ROGER ensures seamless performance and intuitive use. The wing, bar, and bridles are color-coded, enabling riders to quickly identify the leading and trailing edges. The bridle layout minimizes the chance of tangling, but if a tangle does occur, our 3-Point Bridle System allows for easy untangling. The bar features a central hole through which the center bridles pass, attaching to a leash or harness. This setup simplifies depowering and redeployment.

Experts answer your questions
When do you use a parawing?
The Parawing is a supplement for all ambitious foilers. It is used to:
- Master downwind sessions on lakes or the sea
- Reach spots that are inaccessible with a paddle
- Gain height in side to onshore conditions and surf the waves
- Practicing maneuvers and chasing small waves in flat water and chop
How difficult is foiling with a parawing compared to wingfoiling?
Launching and generating speed uses more technique, but if you’re an experienced foiler, you will quickly learn to parawing. The parawing wing flies and has power in minimal wind, so you can easily take off in light winds.
Does the parawing go upwind just as well as a wing?
Yes, the parawing performs well going upwind, though the technique is slightly different from using an inflatable wing.
What board size or type is best?
To begin with, we recommend a downwind board or a mid-length board with sufficient volume (approx. 10-20 litres above your body weight). A length of 5’7‘ to 7’0’ is often ideal.
Is the size/wind range of the parawing comparable to that of a wing?
The parawing generally has better performance in light winds but slightly less high-wind capability. Overall, the sail size to wind range is very similar between the two.
