ITS CHARACTER

The SALT is not simply a wave sail. It is a complete wave-performance system, sharpened through relentless evolution and engineered to dominate every condition wave world wide. Each size is developed as an individual machine. Not enlarged. Not reduced. Not copied from a single generic design. Every profile, tension and balance point is tuned specifically for the wind range it is built to attack. PWA VICE WORLD CHAMPION. The smaller sizes remain neutral, stable and controlled when the conditions become violent. The larger sizes generate immediate drive without feeling heavy or slow. Every size delivers the same precise connection between rider, sail and wave. Leeward side: deep, power curve- draft.

THE 'POWER SIDE'

The deepest part of the profile, located on the leeward side. Measured as depth and position. Draft generates the power/lift of the sail. The SALT PRO keeps its profile compact, vanishing in your hands the moment you hit the wave thanks to its on/off Dacron panel. It drives hard and precise through the bottom turn, then instantly neutralizes as you hit the lip: its natural S-shaping making cutbacks easy, powerful, and forgiving. Instant reaction is guaranteed. The widest Dacron point and deepest profile sit just above the boom, creating perfect drive through the bottom turn and a forward, explosive pull in rotation.

Windward side: flat, low-pressure side.

THE 'FAST SIDE'

The overall aerodynamic shape of the sail, seen in cross-section. It includes the windward side (flatter) and the leeward side (curved). When we say “the sail profile”, we mean the general curve the sailcloth and battens create.

The SALT PRO keeps its draft shallow to be a fast wave sail to have speed to vanish in your hands the moment you hit the wave to jump. Aligned with the opening of the leach and S-shaping. It keeps a wave board over the water to hover over chop and have more control while searching for the ramp. Speed is everything in waves also when it comes to high jumps and radical rotations.
