NINJA
CARBON + TECH
Freestyle/Foil
The new 2026 S2Maui NINJA continues to push the envelope of progressive, ultralight
freestyle sail design. A new panel layout reduces the number of seams and expands
the use of S2Maui’s Light-Film, reducing weight and giving the 2026 Ninja a more
energetic, direct and faster responding character. Our new, lighter Carbon 2XD™
Spacelight™ sail cloth used in the clew area and superlight Technora™ Spacelight™
along the leech, further reduces swing weight. The main window panel uses our optical
x-ply to handle the inherent impacts of pushing your limits.
Consistent leech tension and a reduced head outline make the NINJA effortless to
duck, lightning quick and ultra-responsive in maneuvers. Building upon decades of
experience designing sails for some of the world’s top freestylers has allowed us to
truly refine the NINJA’s design. Moderately high aspect ratio with balanced leech
tension provide instant reaction, rapid rotation and powerful acceleration to energize
progressive freestyle maneuvers both on fin and foil. The higher aspect and tighter leech
also contribute to steady foil flight and are perfectly suited to maneuver oriented
wind-foiling or “Foil-Style”.
Bryan Metcalf-Perez:
“Whether it’s 30 feet up and up side down in the Gorge, double pop freestyle fun
in the flats, foiling in the smooth breeze of French Polynesia, or even some waves,
I can always count on my S2Maui NINJA to get me exactly where I need to be.”
Artur Szpunar:
Shaping refinements together with the new lighter and more responsive
construction give the 2026 NINJA a significant boost in performance.
Feedback during testing has been excellent.
