ITS CHARACTER

The RUSH-1 turns marginal conditions into full-speed sessions while everyone else is still standing on the beach. It delivers the low-wind drive of a much larger sail without the weight, effort or oversized feeling. Its powerful profile ignites the board early, converts every breath of wind into acceleration and keeps the rig light and balanced in the hands. When the wind increases, the RUSH-1 changes character. Its race-derived batten structure locks the profile in place, while the active leech releases excess pressure and keeps the sail composed at speed. More wind simply means another gear. The full Anti-UV X-ply body is built to be used hard. It protects the sail’s structure, colour and premium appearance over time, preserving the crisp response and visual quality that define Point-7.

Leeward side: deep, power curve- draft.

THE 'POWER SIDE'

The deepest part of the profile, located on the leeward side. Measured as depth (how “fat” the sail is) and position (how far forward or back it sits). Draft generates the power/lift of the sail.

 

The RUSH-1 packs a shallow, wide Dacron profile that expands instantly with the first gust, boosted by a softer luff curve for effortless breathing. That XXL Dacron width locks in maximum stability through every wind shift. The draft sits exactly where you stand, transferring drive straight into both arms and the harness for a stance that feels balanced, forgiving, and natural. Power and stability are built in. THE 'FAST SIDE'

The overall aerodynamic shape of the sail, seen in cross-section. It includes the windward side (flatter) and the leeward side (curved). When we say “the sail profile”, we mean the general curve the sailcloth and battens create.

ON LAND

The RUSH-1 is a super light weapon that delivers early planing, effortless handling, and demands very little from its rider to perform at its peak. Speed, maneuverability, and power. All with ease with pure fun inside. It’s freeride, but with battens using three different tube diameters and graphics that scream luxury. The slightly longer boom gives it extra push, even on the largest boards.

RIGGING

The RUSH-1 is a breeze to rig—just the right amount of force to counter its moderate luff curve and set the downhaul, guided by the visual aid on the top panel. It’s compatible with both RDM and SDM masts, but from 6.4 upwards, the SDM will deliver better performance. Adjust the outhaul to crank up the power or dial in more control. Tighten the bottom and top battens, but just enough to remove wrinkles on the others—no need to overtighten them. Get it right, and you’re good to blast.
