The 2026 ALCHEMY ULTRA was developed with the goal to make the worlds lightest and
strongest high performance 5-batten wavesail. Starting with the original S2Maui ALCHEMY,
which for a long time has led the industry in the lightest/strongest/high perf category, the
ALCHEMY-ULTRA reduces weight to a level 25-30% lighter than industry standard. At only
85g/square meter and featuring a 100% Dyneema™ (High Modulus Polyethylene, world’s
strongest fiber) woven core, S2Maui’s ULTRA-HMPE™ is the absolute lightest and most tear
resistant sail cloth currently available for Windsurf sail construction. The 2026 ALCHEMY
ULTRA also incorporates 2 brand new materials, Carbon 2XD™ in the clew to further reduce
weight and the extra-durable ULTRA-HMPE™ “Hot Yellow” in the foot panel.
The ULTRA-HMPE™ material is warp oriented and load aligned with S2Maui’s WARPPATH
™ panel layout ensuring perfect tension distribution and a stable profile.

the outstanding stability, smooth power, speed, wind range and and responsiveness that the
ALCHEMY is renowned for but with next level ultralight weight and handling that will leave
you speechless.
After extensive testing, the 2026 ALCHEMY ULTRA 4.7 has an exciting new design that rigs
on a 370, further reducing rig weight and increasing maneuverability, while maintaining all the
stability and power for which the ALCHEMY is famous.
